Ducks in a Row

Good Morning!

It's Karin posting here today, and I decided to make a baby card for my stash of personal cards.  This sweet Ducks in a Row image is perfect for a baby and is gender neutral.  I colored them with my Copic markers, and added a piece of Tim Holtz paper tape behind the image to anchor it.  The sentiment is a traditional stamp from my supplies.  Don't you just love how digi images fit right in and round out your supplies?

Have you been to the I Brake for Digi store?  Stop by and see what you've been missing!

Sunbathing Mouse

Hi everyone.  Today I used the Sunbathing Mouse from I Brake for Digis when I played along in the Featured Stampers Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  This is the coolest mouse I have ever seen.  I wish I could be relaxing like him but life is too busy right now for that luxury.

Have a great day everyone.

Hugs~

Pop pop popcorn!

Hello! Lisa here with a happy birthday card full of yummy popcorn!

Couldn't you just reach in for a handful? I printed the Popcorn digi off in two different sizes and cut out the smaller size then layered them up, popping (excuse the pun!) the top layer up with 3D foam. The popcorn is coloured lightly with Promarkers and glittered with yellow Stickles.

The popcorn container is just stripey paper concertina folded and fanned out. The sentiment is wrapped around the bottom of the container to cover up the raw edge. This card is for a man, so I didn't want to be too girly with the papers or sentiment, but it did need a little something round the edges, so I stamped red and black flourishes.

Don't forget to pop over to the I Brake for Digis store to check out the fabulous digis available!

IBFD - "Love or Valentine's Day" Challenge

Hi everyone!  Boy, time sure has gotten away on me.  Its been a couple weeks since I posted here.  Well, to make up for it, I have a simple, but very cute little card if I do say so.  I wanted to make a card that I could use for the "Love or Valentine's Day" Challenge over at The Brakefast Club but I wanted to use something that was a little different.  So, out came Freddie the Frog.  This particular image is called Frog Prince and he is just adorable. Look how cute he is all puckered up to give you a big smooch on the lips. :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Frog Prince (I Brake for Digis)
Papers: Recollections cardstock (Valentine collection), Smitten Heart Stripe (K&Company)
Tools & Embellishments: Scallop Trim border punch (Stampin' Up!), red & gold Stickles, Copic Markers, Bic Mark It markers, quilting ruler, rotary quilting cutter, Occidental font (sentiment)

Why don't you join in on the challenge and have a little fun.

Take care & talk to you soon...

Smile

Good evening - Barb here - sharing a smile with you - actually 3 smiles. Isn't this the greatest image from I Brake For Digis. You could do a sentiment inside that said - you got a card from me; I'm your sister and you can't do anything about it; etc. I made these cards for Operation Write Home - I thought it would bring smiles to many people.

Everyone have a wonderful creative evening.

Time to Relax

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin posting today's card, and with it being a gloomy Monday here where I live, I need something to pick up my spirit.  What could be better than a card that reminds one of summer time?

I used the digi Sun Bathing Bee, and layered it on a card base that was stamped with flowers using traditional stamps.  The sentiment is also a "regular" stamp, and I chose to layer it to echo the flowers on the beach towel and background.

Here is a close up of the Stickles I added to give the wings some sparkle and the Glossy Effects to make the sunglasses shine :)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and remember to visit the I Brake for Digis store to check out all the digi stamps they offer!

Sweet

Barb here - posting my first valentine card for family and friends. This card is for my Mom. The digi image is called Heart Mug. All kinds of sentiments could be used - for my Mom I chose to use this huge sticker - because my Mom is SWEET. Latte Love would be fun. What kind of sayings that are coffee related can you come up with.

Everyone have a wonderful evening - brrrrr - it is cold in Wisconsin.

More hugs and fishes!

One of my fellow DT members used this little fish a while back, and I've been itching to use him on a card as well.

The fish is actually coloured with pencil crayons for a change, I'm usually a Promarker addict! The yellow card is made from a piece of 6x6" scalloped edge textured card stock folded in half, with some swirly strips of paper textured in the cuttlebug and then layered down the middle. I added a strip of blue beads for added texture and a few pearls for bubbles.

Hugs and fishes!

You're How Old?

Hi Everyone,

It's Karin posting today, and the minute I laid my eyes on this Laughing Hyena digi, this sentiment popped into my mind.  I knew it would make a funny age related card for the right person...aka, someone with a sense of humor :)

I didn't have this sentiment in my stash, so I just made it myself in Word on my computer and printed it out right along with the image.
I decided this would be a guy card, so I roughed up the edges of the patterned card stock and added a felt border behind the image, which was cut out using  my Nesties.  The Laughing Hyena was colored with my Copics.

Thanks so much for visiting me here at the blog, and to see this image and so many more, stop by the store today!

A Birthday Fish

Barb here again - wanted to share another card using "fish" - the fun of a digi - you can make the image any size you want. On Tuesday's post I lined 3 small fish up in a row for Best Fishes - today one bigger fish.

On both cards I paper pieced the fish or fishes. I love this Basic Grey grouping of paper - makes some great masculine cards.

Hope you don't think it is "fishy" my posting two cards in one week.

Olives and hearts?

Now  know this will seem like a weird combination, especially when I tell you that this tag I made was for a 5 year old girl......

...however, I hope that when I tell you that she's my little girl's best friend in the whole wide world, you'll understand the hearts. Plus, when I tell you that she has olives in her lunch at school most days, you'll understand the olives.

I love this digi, it's really of 4 jars, but this time I only needed 2- very versatile! It's called Jars and is available from the I Brake for Digis shop as usual! For more details on how I made the tag, please jump over to my blog.

Best Fishes

Best Fishes to you on this Tuesday evening. Barb here sharing my card made with the digital image "Fish". Isn't that fish cute - almost called it a him - but the fish would be cute in pink also. I paper pieced this card. I first printed the fish on the background (water) paper. I then printed them again on a contrast color of paper and cut them out. I pasted them to the water. A little layering of fabulous patterned papers and I have a fun card.

Check my blog tomorrow to see the same fish in another card.

Artist Brushes

Hi Everyone,

It's Karin posting today's card here at the blog, and I'm so thrilled with this simple card design.

While the text is a traditional stamp from my supplies, I have never used it because it seemed to need an image to compliment it.  I never had the "right" thing, until I received this fantastic image called Artist Tools
from I Brake for Digis.  Isn't it marvelous?  Just like it was meant to be.

I colored it with my Copic markers and kept the design clean.

Here is a closer shot of the great image.

Visit the I Brake for Digis store today for the complete line of digital stamps for all your crafting projects.

Freddie Needs A Cocktail

Hey everyone.  I just had to make a card with Freddie pulled up to the bar.  Man did I feel like this after work on Friday.  One super busy week for me and I still didn't get much accomplished.  I did survive the craziness and that's what matters.  LOL  Hope you all don't have a week like I did and if by chance you do, just think of Freddie.  Have a great week everyone.

Sing Freddie!!

Hey everyone.  Wanted to show you a quick mini card I made using Freddie.  A friend of mine's son is performing tonight at a local club so I thought I would give him this "mini card" with a few words of encouragement.  I know him and his band will be rocking out tonight. Such talented young men!  See ya back here tomorrow!

Star with Baby Bear

Hi everyone!  I'm glad I finally made it here this week.  I don't know, but blogger didn't seem to like me the last few days and I haven't been able to blog. I didn't think I would get this worked up over it, but it did get me going for a little bit there.

Well, I'm here now and all it good.  I have a new card to show you.  I don't have a lot of children in my life and certainly, everyone I know is way past the point of having babies, so I don't make a lot of baby cards.  But every once in a while I find an image that is so cute, I just have to make a card with it.  That's what happen with this image.  The colour scheme is one of my favourites - blue & yellow.  I use copics to colour the image, with a few butterfly punch outs, some liquid pearls, and some velvet ribbon for accent.  I hope you like the card and that it gives you some inspiration.  The image is available here in the IBFD shop. :)  Here's my card:

Flamingo-a-go-go ATC

Hi! Lisa here with a cute ATC to show you. I love making and trading ATCs, and digis are a fabulous resource for ATCers because they can be resized!

I used the flamingo, coloured him with Promarkers and then added a few swirls and flowers to brighten up the background. Quite often my ATCs have words or sayings on them, usually what's been in my head as I'm making the card up. For some reason, I kept singing Flamingo a go go, so that's what I ended up stamping!!!

If you want to know more about how I made this ATC, check out my blog.

Until next time!!

Celebrate 2011

Good Tuesday evening - Barb here - I wanted to share this sweet little elephant with you. Isn't she the sweetest thing - I guess today the elephant is a she - but it could be a boy also.

I printed the elephant on the printed alphabet paper and then printed it on the plain colored paper and cut it out. I then inked the elephant and glued him onto the alphabet paper. I had to color the toenails also.

I hope you enjoyed my card using this sweet image.

Have a wonderful evening.

Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin posting today and I hope your week is off to a great start.

I fully intended to use this cute image on one of my Christmas cards this year, but time, like time does, got away from me.  Luckily, these gifts are so cute and fun to color, they can be customized for any celebration at all. I chose to make it into a birthday card for a little boy who will be turning 6.

With these colors being so bright and fun, I know that this will be a hit!

Thanks for visiting us at the blog and drop by the I Brake For Digis Store and pick up some digis for your projects.  It's never too early to get started on your crafting resolutions!

Happy New Year 2011

What better way to welcome the new year than with a baby card. The baby this card is for is one month old - so I am not too late getting it done. I now need to find a beautiful quote to put in it. I sure wish I remembered what quote I put in the card for the shower.

Isn't this buggy the sweetest image from I Brake For Digis - It is an image that could be colored but I loved the beauty of it just printed on the patterned paper. It is a beautiful vintage buggy so I wanted the card to be vintage. I do believe I achieved that.

Hint - if you have things that are white and you want them to be cream - don't throw away the coffee in the bottom of your pot - I just placed the paper doily and some of the lace in the coffee and got the color I wanted. The flower is made with coffee filters - yes - you guessed right - colored with coffee.

I hope 2011 is full of health and happiness for you and as a crafter/card maker - I hope 2011 is full of wonderful creativity and constant Mo Jo.
