Dream Everyday Book Mark

Good Morning,
Today, I created a book mark using the Sun & Stars image found under the Celestial tab over on Ibrakefordigis.com.  I used my watercolor pencils to color the image and then applied platinum Stickles to the sun and stars for sparkle.
Have a great day and a Happy New Year!

Rag Doll Card - I Brake For Digis

I love this rag doll image.  I didn't know what to do with it since I don't have very many children in my life, so I decided to just colour it and see what happens.  I ended up choosing yellows for my main colours because they always seem so bright and cheery.  And I love blue with yellow so that had to be my accent colour.  Its a rather plain card, but now that I have it finished, I have a whole bunch of new ideas that I could use this image for or with.  I'm thinking I could use it with some images of teddy bears and building blocks for a scrapbook page of my niece when she was a baby; I could use it with balloons and cakes for a birthday card;  the ideas just started coming once I actually used the image and saw it coloured.  So, if you see images in the shop and think that you wouldn't know what to do with them, I'll bet that once you do one thing with it - even if its something small or plain - it will give you all kinds of ideas for other projects with that image.  Here's my card with the Rag Doll image and I'm sure you'll see a few more projects with this image from me in the next little while.

Supplies
Stamps: Rag Doll (I Brake for Digis)
Papers: Daisy D's (patterned paper), cardstock (Bazzil, Wausau Exact Index 110#)
Tools & Embellishments: Ribbon (Dollar Store), Square Steps corner punch (EK Success), Floral Vine deep edge punch (Martha Stewart), copics

Talk to you later...

Another Freddie card!

Well, why not? He is mega cute!!

I coloured Swinging around Freddie with Promarkers and then stippled the background lightly with a sponge and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I'm particularly in love with BIG flowers at the moment, so these gorgeous punched ones fitted the bill perfectly.

Freddie Rocks!

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin posting today here at the blog, and I just love this line of Freddie stamps that are available at the I Brake for Digis Store.
Isn't he just the cutest?  And there are loads of Freddies doing all kinds of things, so I know you will fall in love with one yourself!

I broke out my hand held stitching gizmo and did some messy sewing around the edges of my card to add texture.  As hard as I tried to make this into a guy card, I think with the scallops, ribbon, and the paper colors it will most likely end up going to a female. Oh well, such is the crafting life!

Pop on over to the I Brake for Digi Store to see this Freddie and all the rest!

Roar!

My boy is 10 tomorrow. I have no idea how that happened, I'm sure he was only born a couple of weeks ago!!! Time flies, right? Here's his birthday card, on a whopper of an 8x8" card.

I used the Lion digi, coloured with Promarkers, then layered up and fixed with eyelets. Hope he likes it. For more info, check out my blog here.

Beautiful Love

Hi,
I was in a purple mood when I created this card using the Rose Post image.  I found this cute postage stamp under the Garden tab at I Brake for Digis.com.  I used my water color pencils to color in this image.  It gave the image subtle color.  Sending someone love is the best gift!
I hope you head over and use this image to send someone love!  Have a great night!

Downward Slide to Christmas

Christmas is coming very fast - are you ready - I am not ready - I am busy clearing and cleaning my house and cooking. My family will be here for Christmas dinner - it will be a smaller group than normal - of course - I will overcook - that is pretty normal for me. Don't want to run out of food.

Over the week end I did a little creating - needed that paper therapy - I have an online friend who is returning to school to work on her nursing degree - I wanted to make her a card to say "good luck" and yet be humorous. I thought the digital image "Go Team" - was fun - a little celebration and good luck all rolled into one card. I colored the image with Copics - love his or her colored shoes and socks.

Everyone have a wonderful evening. Stay warm and don't let the holidays stress you out.

Just Hangin Around

Hi Everyone,

It's Karin here, and since the last card I posted was a Christmas card, I thought I would show off a non- holiday card this time.  This card uses the Laundry stamp available at the I Brake For Digis store.  All I did was color it with some Copic markers to match the sweet girlie paper I had in my stash of stuff.  The flower embellishments that I added were also "hangin" around my craft area forever, so score a point for me
for using up some stuff ;)

This mini clothes pin was a last minute addition.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and be sure to visit I Brake for Digis and buy yourself some digi stamps!

Friday, December 17, 2010

Good Friday morning from the cold state of Wisconsin. Christmas is fast approaching and I do believe I may start to hyperventilate - of course - now that we have all those recyclable bags - no paper bags around to breathe into.

Anticipating the need for thank you cards, I colored up Hoot - Hoot actually has a tree attached to that limb he is sitting on but I decided I just wanted Hoot and the limb for my image. Out came the Spellbinders and I cut that tree down. I love his eyes or her eyes.

Pop over to the storefront for I Brake for Digis and pick up Hoot and many other wonderful images to create with. Have a wonderful day.

2011 is on it's way!!!

I'm still making a last few Christmas presents, so my digis have been working overtime!!!

This is a calendar I've made for my Mom, her kitchen walls are yellow. I know there's something missing, but I can't find the little rip off calendar I bought weeks ago!!!! So I've had to post an unfinished project, but I'm sure you'll forgive me and use your imaginations to visualize a little white calendar fixed to the bottom!

I used the Jars digi and printed it a couple of times so that I could cut out extra jars to layer them up. I love that the olives double up as little oranges and the chilli peppers are just gorgeous.

For more information about how I made the calendar and a cool discount code take a look at my blog.

I'm off to wrap more presents...........

Oh Baby!

Hi Everyone,
Danielle here with another tag to share.  I was drawn to these baby hand images the moment I saw them.  My sister recently had a boy so I went with a blue theme.  These images can be found under the "freebies" section at I Brake for Digis.com.
The images were easy to cut out and pop-up from my tag.
I just used some blue ink to edge the white paper.  I enjoyed using these images and hope you try them out!
So, before you check out make sure you check the freebie section!

BrakeFast Club challenge - Anything But a Card

Hi again everyone!  I really had a great time with this challenge this week.  I love making altered things, so this challenge was right up my alley.  I know its Christmas and all, but don't you feel like sometimes you just need to do something other than Christmas right now?  I did, so I made this altered domino.  I like how it turned out and once I get a proper bail for it, I will turn it into a necklace.  Here's how it turned out:

I used the Sun & Stars image (available in the I Brake for Digis shop).  Its the perfect image for altering dominos since its proportions are the same as the domino.   I have full details on my blog (and a 10% off coupon code in my side bar if you want to purchase this or any other IBFD or IBFS product) if you want to see how I made this project.

Have a great week everyone!

O Holy Night

Hi All!

It's Karin posting today and I'm bringing you this Christmas card that I made using the stamp Bethlehem from the I Brake for Digi store.

I used my go to coloring medium, Copic markers and added a dab of Stickles on the star.  Playing off the stars on the stamp, which were tiny black dots, I used my paper piercer and poked holes around my background paper.
Pretty simple and straight forward, but I love the non traditional colors for this card :)

Thanks for visiting us at the blog today and stop by the I Brake for Digi's store and check out all the great digi stamps they have available!

Christmas Tag

Hello Everyone,
My name is Danielle and I would like to share a Christmas tag I made using the Candy Cane To/From image.  You can find this image under the Holiday Tab at IBrakeForDigis.com.
I plan to use this tag for my mom's Christmas gift.  I love this image because you can make a ton of gift tags with it.  I went with the traditional green and red colors but I hope to try this tag again using all sorts of color combination's.  I hope you check out this image and incorporate it into your Christmas projects this year.

IBFS Challenge Card - Christmas or Holiday

I wanted to get this card posted in time for you all to join in on the challenge.  Unfortunately, life got in the way and I'm only able to get it up now to show you.  The challenge this week was to create a Christmas or holiday project.  I'm a totally non-traditional kind of person, so I chose some colours that you wouldn't normally think of as Christmas colours.  Although orange, lime green, and fuchsia pink aren't traditional holiday colours, I think they make for a very fun and festive holiday card.  I used the Patchwork Angle from I Brake for Digis. Its a great image to mix up the colours a bit and that's what I did.  I hope you can get a few ideas from my card and I also hope you will get in on the next challenge starting tomorrow at the The BrakeFast Club.  If you want to pick up this cute little angel or any other IBFD images, you can pick up a 10% off coupon code off my blog (Cat Scrap Fever).   Here's my card:

Happy Holly-Days!

Hi Everyone!

Are you getting in the holiday spirit?

This card I'm posting today may just do the trick.  I knew this Holly Berry image would pair really well with this scrap of holly paper I had sitting on my craft table.
I just sized the image in Word to fit my punch, copied it 3 times and then printed it out.  I colored the holly using Copic markers and then added red Stickles to the berries for a bit of bling. The sentiment is just something I created myself in Word on my computer.

How's that for a cute, flat and easy to mail idea for a holiday card?  Stop by the I Brake For Digi Store and see what other holiday digis fit your needs.  There are a bunch :)

Have a great day!

DIno-tastic

A quick, last minute "whoops I forgot the card and the party's in an hour" card for you today......

Enter the ever flexible digi stamp!

Great isn't he? He looks like me when I first get out of bed in a morning, stomping around!! The digi is available at I Brake for Digis and he's called T-Rex.

He's coloured with Promarkers, and the left edge of each layer is ripped to give it a more interesting look. The raffia is from my stash, and I've raised the image slightly on 3D foam to enable me to wrap the raffia around and not get a distorted look.

For a closer look, wander over to my blog.

Promarkers- Grass, Meadow green, Apple, Warm Grey 2, Cool grey 1 and 2, Tulip yellow

Winter Mailbox

Hi there !
My name is Ceal Pritchett and I am thrilled to make my first post for I Brake For Digis. I used the digital stamp Winter Mailbox for my card and colored it with Copic markers. You should go check out their digital stamps because they are awesome and if you come to my blog there is a Coupon code to save 10% on your order

Merry and Bright

Let me introduce myself – my name is Barb Housner – and I am a new member of the Digit Team for I Brake for Digis. I am very excited to be a part of the team. Stop by my blog and check out my creations. I will be posting here regularly also.

I have been card making for 6 – 7 years – maybe – I do not know for sure when I started. My friend started me down this road and it has consumed my creativity. I use to sew in a former life and actually worked in a fabric store for over 10 years. I think that sense of color and balance transfers itself to card making.

I am relatively new to using digis and learning something new every day. So come along for the ride. I like the versatility of being able to make a digi any size you need. I am still trying to master that – my images are still pretty big – I get them colored before I see how they will work on a card – I don’t want to waste my coloring so I make a big card. Of course, people deserve special cards and if they are oversized – that is even better. Sometimes I feel that I personally am keeping the US postal service in business.

This card is for a special young woman in my life. She has taught me so much about life. I am the honorary grandmother to her new daughter Londyn. Purple is her favorite color so, of course, when you are a card maker – the fun of it – is that you can personalize each card for the recipient. One of my workers loves orange – if you pop over to my blog – I bet you can figure out which card is hers. Snowmen are pretty easy to color – I like that.

Well enough chatter for today – I must get started on my Sunday chores – Christmas is 3 weeks away and I have not gotten my invites out for Christmas dinner. Those need to go in the mail on Monday – so I probably have more cards to make also.

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday. Hope you find some time to create. Creativity is good for the soul.

Bunch of Balloons

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin posting today at the blog, and in honor of my first post here, I thought a card with a festive theme would be appropriate.

I used this fun Bunch of Balloons stamp to make a card for my personal stash.  Do you have a stash of cards too?  You know, the kind you keep on hand so that you can grab them at a moments notice?  I love to have some around that can be customized to fit any occasion.
One of the great things about the art work at I Brake for Digis is the big, bold lines.  It was so easy to color with my Copic markers.  All I had to do was match my papers.

Be sure to visit the I Brake for Digis store and see all of the great stamps that they have available!

IBFS Challenge Card

Hey All!  I'm so happy to be posting here today.  I'm Cat and I'm a new member of the I Brake For Digis design team.  I thought I would start off with a card for the challenge going on now on the BrakeFast Club forums.  The challenge for this week is to create a card using inchies (hurry over and enter because this current challenge ends tomorrow!).  I like this challenge because I've only ever made 2 cards with inchies (the first one wasn't so successful) and this sort of pushed me out of my comfort zone - which is exactly what the challenge is suppose to do.  I really like these images.  I picked them up in the I Brake For Digis store not so long ago to make some goodies for my sister for Christmas (don't tell her, but I'm making her some cute repackaged teas).  I hope this card gives you some ideas for your own creations.

Supplies:
Images: Tea Pot, Tea Bag, Tea Cup - I Brake For Digis digital stamps
Paper: Bazzill Coredinations, Recollections Kraft cardstock, Patterned paper (unknown - I think it may be Daisy D's), Wausau Exact Index 110# white cardstock (base & images)
Tools & Embellisments: Prisma pencil crayons, oms, Fiskars small scallop edging scissors, EK Success edge punch, Ribbon (Moderne Home), Curlz MT font (sentiment), sanding block, Cuttlebug embossing folder

Take care and we'll see you soon...
