The Brakefast Club Challenge #20 - Birthdays

Hi everyone!  Cat here with a new card for the Brakefast Club challenge running this week.  I just love the Freddie Frog images and this one is no exception.  I'm at the point in my life now that I don't like to celebrate my birthdays.  I'm too old and it takes too much effort to blow out all the candles - haha!  This little guy looks like I feel these days. :)  So, here is my card for the challenge:

The BrakeFast Club Challenge #13 - Bookmarks

Hi again everyone!  I have a little project that I created for the challenge just finishing up over at the BrakeFast Club (a new one starts tomorrow).  Chrissy created an excellent tutorial on how to make these corner bookmarks and she has it posted on her blog.  Its so easy to follow that it hardly takes any time at all to make these.  And what I really like about this project - it uses up some of my scraps.  I'm all about using scraps.  They seem to procreate when they're in my cabinet and I end up with more and more each day. :)  Here's a picture of my bookmark (on a book of course):

Supplies:
Stamps: Purse (I Brake for Digis)
Papers: patterned paper (I think its Daisy D, but I got it at the Dollar Store), Recollections cardstock (pink & red), Wausau Exact Index 110# (white cardstock), glitter cardstock (unknown - ordered it a couple years ago from a lady in the UK), paper flowers (Prima), brad (Recollections), rhinestone (Michaels), Wrought Iron corner punch (EK Success), Tulips deep edge punch (EK Success), Butterfly trio punch (Martha Stewart), copic markers

The image used on the bookmark is the Purse image (which you can purchase here).  I think it fits perfectly with the colour scheme I chose for this project.  For some reason, I always make bookmarks with feminine colours.  I know I'll be making more, so I should probably try it with more masculine colours.  Oh well.

IBFD - "Love or Valentine's Day" Challenge

Hi everyone!  Boy, time sure has gotten away on me.  Its been a couple weeks since I posted here.  Well, to make up for it, I have a simple, but very cute little card if I do say so.  I wanted to make a card that I could use for the "Love or Valentine's Day" Challenge over at The Brakefast Club but I wanted to use something that was a little different.  So, out came Freddie the Frog.  This particular image is called Frog Prince and he is just adorable. Look how cute he is all puckered up to give you a big smooch on the lips. :)

Star with Baby Bear

Hi everyone!  I'm glad I finally made it here this week.  I don't know, but blogger didn't seem to like me the last few days and I haven't been able to blog. I didn't think I would get this worked up over it, but it did get me going for a little bit there.

Well, I'm here now and all it good.  I have a new card to show you.  I don't have a lot of children in my life and certainly, everyone I know is way past the point of having babies, so I don't make a lot of baby cards.  But every once in a while I find an image that is so cute, I just have to make a card with it.  That's what happen with this image.  The colour scheme is one of my favourites - blue & yellow.  I use copics to colour the image, with a few butterfly punch outs, some liquid pearls, and some velvet ribbon for accent.  I hope you like the card and that it gives you some inspiration.  The image is available here in the IBFD shop. :)  Here's my card:

BrakeFast Club challenge - Anything But a Card

Hi again everyone!  I really had a great time with this challenge this week.  I love making altered things, so this challenge was right up my alley.  I know its Christmas and all, but don't you feel like sometimes you just need to do something other than Christmas right now?  I did, so I made this altered domino.  I like how it turned out and once I get a proper bail for it, I will turn it into a necklace.  Here's how it turned out:

I used the Sun & Stars image (available in the I Brake for Digis shop).  Its the perfect image for altering dominos since its proportions are the same as the domino.   I have full details on my blog (and a 10% off coupon code in my side bar if you want to purchase this or any other IBFD or IBFS product) if you want to see how I made this project.

IBFS Challenge Card - Christmas or Holiday

I wanted to get this card posted in time for you all to join in on the challenge.  Unfortunately, life got in the way and I'm only able to get it up now to show you.  The challenge this week was to create a Christmas or holiday project.  I'm a totally non-traditional kind of person, so I chose some colours that you wouldn't normally think of as Christmas colours.  Although orange, lime green, and fuchsia pink aren't traditional holiday colours, I think they make for a very fun and festive holiday card.  I used the Patchwork Angle from I Brake for Digis. IBFS Challenge Card

Hey All!  I'm so happy to be posting here today.  I'm Cat and I'm a new member of the I Brake For Digis design team.  I thought I would start off with a card for the challenge going on now on the BrakeFast Club forums.  The challenge for this week is to create a card using inchies (hurry over and enter because this current challenge ends tomorrow!).  I like this challenge because I've only ever made 2 cards with inchies (the first one wasn't so successful) and this sort of pushed me out of my comfort zone - which is exactly what the challenge is suppose to do.  I really like these images.  I picked them up in the I Brake For Digis store not so long ago to make some goodies for my sister for Christmas (don't tell her, but I'm making her some cute repackaged teas).  I hope this card gives you some ideas for your own creations.
